As an educator and counselor for the Stockton Unified School District (SUSD) for over 40 years & California Youth Authority (CYA/summers) for over 28 years, Ms Choice has brought excellence and been a motivating force bringing Black Family Day, NAACP ACT-SO, Black Employees Association-SUSD, Black Student Union (BSU), classroom lectures, poetry nights, theater events & more to the people of this great city.
Author Terry O’neal her protégé, says that Ms Choice’s first book, “Beyond the ABC’s and XYZ’s is LIFE” is a work of art that speaks wisdom, roots of rhythm, rich culture and heritage”.
As mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and Nana to thousands living in Stockton’s community this lady truly has made a difference in the lives of many.
